Newburgh Urban Farm & Food Receives $500 Donation From GGEHS

| News and Updates

Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Initiative (NUFFI) is an active partnership between organizations and individuals in the City of Newburgh to work together to foster a resilient community in which fresh food is available and accessible to all.

Since June 2020, during the emotional and stressful days of COVID-19, they have donated over 5,000 + pounds of fresh and local produce to pantries and emergency food services.

On April 23, 2021 The Go Green Local made a happy visit to NUFFI where Cari Bailey presented the Big Check donation to Virginia Kasinki, Executive Director (left) and Molly Foley, Head Farmer (right) in the photo below.

Molly gave a tour of the farm and was proud to show the gardens and explain the Youth Education Programs that have encouraged the local kids to get involved.

You can find them at 207 Carpenter Avenue in Newburgh and at the Newburgh Farmers Market on Saturdays between Saturday, June 5th and Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 8 am – 12 noon. Check our their website at newburghurbanfarmandfood.org.
