Drain Snaking Services

When your drain backs up, it’s hard to know how to take care of the problem. Since you cannot see the problem, so can’t be sure what is causing the pipe blockage. For kitchen sinks, the blockage is often caused by organic elements like kitchen grease, soap, food particles or hair. For bathroom toilets, the problem might be a foreign object such as a small toy, feminine or paper products.

Chemicals or drain cleaner may clear the blockage – maybe. If chemicals don’t work or the blockage keeps coming back, that’s when it’s time to call the professionals – and the drain snake.

Based in Newburgh, we serve four New York counties, including Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, and Putnam. Our licensed plumbing professionals are in your neighborhood for all your home’s service needs.

PLUMBING DRAIN SNAKE SERVICES

The Drain Snaking Process

When a drain won’t clear with chemicals, a plumbing snake or rooter plumbing is necessary. A plumbing snake or auger is basically a long and flexible metal tube.

The snake is pushed into the drain from the sink, toilet, tub or other cleanout, until it reaches the clog. Then the crank is used to loosen and dislodge whatever is jamming the pipe. The end of the auger either can push through the obstruction, twist and tear through the obstruction, or attach itself to the blockage so it can be pulled back up through the drain.

We have an array of drain snake machines. Our professional plumbers use snake cables for any size drain – from a bathroom sink line to a main sewer line. To clear especially tough blockages, we employ electric machines. Blockages that are more serious may require that our technicians run sophisticated video inspection tools down the line that allow us to pin point the exact location of the sewer clog or drain back up.
