Solar
hot water is one of today's most widely used green energy technology. Solar
hot water heater systems are a cost-effective way to generate hot water
for your home or business. Consumers can save considerable amounts of money
and energy by taking advantage of solar energy
Solar water heating (SWH) systems can be used in any climate. They can provide year-round hot water for your home, commercial building and even your swimming pool. With local qualified installers, it's easy for anyone to incorporate this technology - and to save money while doing it.
We use Buderus solar products. Buderus is committed to developing innovative, renewable solare energy technologies that save energy, reduce CO2 emissions and contribute to energy independence.
Solar water heating systems are comprised of solar collectors and well-insulated storage tanks. Solar storage tanks have an inlet and outlets connected to the collector. In two-tank systems, the solar water heater preheats the water before it is pumped into a conventional water heater.

Indirect circulation systems: These systems operate with pumps that circulate a non-freezing, heat-transfer fluid through collectors and a heat exchanger. This exchange heats the water that then flows back into the building. These systems are popular in climates that prone to freezing temperatures (like New York).
Direct circulation systems: These systems work by using pumps to circulate water through the collectors and back into the building. They work well in climates where it rarely freezes.

Three
Types of Solar CollectorsFlat-plate solar collectors: These insulated, weatherproofed boxes contain a dark absorber plate under one or more glass or plastic (polymer) covers.
Evacuated-tube solar collectors: These feature rows of glass tubes. Each tube contains a glass outer tube and metal absorber tube attached to a fin. The fin's coating absorbs solar energy but inhibits radiative heat loss. These collectors are used more frequently for U.S. commercial applications.
Integral collector-storage systems: Also known as ICS or batch systems, these systems use one or more black tanks or tubes in an insulated, glazed box. Cold water passes through the solar collector and preheats the water. The water is then sent to a conventional backup water heater to provide the hot water.
Direct circulation systems pump circulate household water through the collectors and into the home. They work well in climates where it rarely freezes.
Indirect circulation systems pump circulate a non-freezing, heat-transfer fluid through the collectors and a heat exchanger. This heats the water that then flows into the home. They are popular in climates prone to freezing temperatures.
